Lalalalala Packing!

I'm trying to keep posting on here, but since I don't leave for 43 days I might be rather bad for I have nothing to blog about : / . Well first on the agenda is I have packed my entire room. Yes, it is 43 days away and my room is completely packed away in boxes! The reason for this is because we're planning on renting out my room to another person. I live in a small college town, so usually a college kid rents out the room. Since school starts in August we had to get all of the stuff out and ready to show to others! One nice thing about this is I know I can live out of my suitcase! All I have left are things I'm taking with me, which isn't a lot.

Before

After

I'm very sorry for the awkward picture placement, but on blogger placing pictures is getting increasingly more difficult!

It was amazing when I got rid of all the stuff, and I did it in three days! My friend Anna came and helped me one day.
Before

After

It's strange not seeing my stuff
in my room. It used have maps and such all over the walls and now its just blank.

Yes, if you look closely to my suitcase on the left there is a panda.
I love pandas.
: D

Second on the agenda is my friend Danni should be leaving soon, although, I have just read if she doesn't get her visa by tomorrow afternoon her leave date will be pushed back! Oh No! Although it isn't by much, I'll miss her very much! If you would like to read her blog it's in a link on the left somewhere....

Thirdly, Romanian is getting more difficult, and I have become more lazy. I've haven't really been studying lately until today when I just gave it the ultimate push. I think instead of trying to form sentences I'm just going to learn vocab, vocab, vocab. I'll pick up how to phrase things/grammar there. I'm using this amazing site called Quizlet. It's a flashcards online. You make the flashcards and test yourself, and the exciting thing now it can speak the word to you! This is making me a little more confident in being to understand a little better and pronounce the words better! Today I learned 81 vocabulary words! Although I have no idea how some of these words will help me, I'm just going through my english-romanian dictionary and choosing the simple nouns. After I complete that I will move onto verbs. Hard thing about verbs is that in Romanian you have to conjugate ALL verbs :(.

Fourth, this has nothing to do with exchange so I'll make it quick. Today I let my cat, bug, into the house. (She's an indoor cat, but likes to go outside to sleep in the sun or hunt or do cat things) She brought in a baby squirrel :-O and then she dropped it and it scurried off into the house! Then she attacked it again, so me and mom had to herd her outside. I know most of us had seen the Lion King and learned about the circle of life, but it's still creepy when it's happening in your house.......We caught a funny picture of my other cat Smoki also.....

Going Away Party

My friend Anna dressed up!
Its been a busy 2 days! First I waited for 12 hours for the Harry Potter part 2 premier! I know I'm a geek. Though after an hour of watching the first 1 minute (in which I now have memorized) they sent everybody home! Though due to my epicness (not really) my group of 3 and one other group of 4 got to get a PRIVATE SHOWING of the movie!!!! Plus 2 free tickets to any other movie we want to see! Bad part of this is we only got three hours of sleep! I was a zombie after that.

Me, Danni, Anna, Vee

Later the next day we had the going away party! It was mine, Danni (Sweden), and Vee (Thailand). It was fun but after being awake for so long, and only three hours sleep it was very hard to mentally be there! We met the girl who went to Thailand last year, she just got back three weeks ago! It was very nice to
meet her and talk to her about her trip! Vee leaves to go back home in one day! I'm going to miss her so much!!!!! Danni leaves in 12 days! I'm rather jealous of that, but I will live :) I leave in 52 days....I know so close! It was so much fun to see everybody, we invited friends and the Rotary Club!
All of us at the party!

Happy Fourth of July! I know it's a wee bit late for that. Now that it is July, my friend Danni is leaving for Sweden! She only has 22 days, I'm quite jealous right now! As for me, nothing new has really come about. I know my third host family, sort of. There is a mom, dad, and son. The boy, Dascalu, will be coming to my district while I'm there! He'll actually be hosted in a town about an hour away from mine! Now I just want my plane ticket! I know I'm a little bit needy, Danni has yet to get her plane ticket. Which would amazingly suck. The other day I discovered how to say my towns name! I'll post the video that I found, its a very quick video.

Very exciting that I now know how to pronounce it! I also found out that maybe only eight people per year go to Romania. I have officially found 5 and 4 of which will be going to my town! All five of us are girls. Its somewhat depressing, but I'm excited to actually meet all of them. The other girl will be going to Slatina, she has a blog too: http://alexinromania.blog.com/.

Fun little things I have learned!

I have learned that this is a mall!
I thought it was some sciency thing
I was wrong
You can ice skate on top in the winter

Not much as been happening, and that the only thing I have really discovered.... uh oh!
Another thing is that Romania's Independance Day is December 1!
Sărbători fericite

2 Months and 5 Days Away so Far Away

Since I didn't want to do a post without a picture
The piano
YAY

Well, lately, I have been talking to my host sister a lot. She is very kind, and I'm very excited to go now. 2 months and 5 days seems to far away! I have now discovered that my host father plays tennis, and, maybe, signed me up for lessons. I have never played tennis before so my friend, Danni, tried to teach me the other day. It was SO much fun, except niether of us are very good at it. I hit the ball! That in my mind is very suprising! Only thing now today I'm very sore, well my arm, it makes me feel like a wimp. I got some new pictures I'm not going to post these due to privacy. Oana and my host dad, like motorcycles, me I have only ever been on my dad's dirt bike, similar, but I can't wait to get to ride one. My host sister even has a minature motorcycle collection in her room! It all seems so exciting when I get to know them all better, I have talked a little with my host mom, Dani, but Claudiu, my host dad, is on a motorcycle trip throughout Europe right now! I find that rather exciting!

New update on life in general. My sister, genetically related to sister, is now coming home from her month long excursion throughout Europe. Sadly enough, I was getting used to being a single child :(. She's doing somethings that I fairly disagree with right now, I'm not going to go into specifics. Another thing is now that its getting closer to the leave date, I have to focus on the language, not easy. Romanian right now sounds like an alien language. I use the website Live Mocha, the link is on the side of my blog somewhere under websites. I feel like its wrong, actually I know it's wrong cause there are some words in a phrase that make no sense! At least it's great for vocabulary, and you can talk to natives! As most of you can probably tell this is more of a whine post, but I am overly excited to go and can't wait to tell you more!
